Robin (Erithacus rubecula)

There is probably no more familiar bird in our gardens to both young and old. Fiercely territorial but very friendly and approachable; and have a look of slight superioriy over everything, even us.

Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)

The Chaffinch is truely the most melodious of all garden songbirds and provides a splash and dash of colour as it flies from pillar to song-post.

Blackbird (Turdus merula)

Blackbird - the garden runabout
With its tail in the air it just runs amok around the garden, chasing, fighting, competing for everything, food, perch, mates, status. Seems to want to run for fun rather than bother with the whole flying thing.
